1. Cost

Odoo Community is open-source- free of cost. There are no license fees associated with it. On the other hand, Odoo Enterprise is the paid version- costs around 12$/month. It unites the Odoo Community along with some added features.

With a newer version, Odoo 14, new features have been added to both versions.

2. User-interface

When it comes to the user interface with the newer version, a lot of features are now introduced in both Odoo 14 Community and Enterprise edition- making the user-interface much better, thus enhancing the user’s overall experience.

Odoo 14 community edition is available only on desktop whereas the Enterprise edition is usable on both Desktop and Mobile (both iOS & Android phones).

3. Studio Access

Now with Odoo 14, the Enterprise users are benefited from certain features like Screen Customization, Report Designer, Menus Editor, and Apps Creator. But on the other side, the Community users don’t have access to all these features.

4. Sales Management

With Odoo 14 Community and Enterprise edition, users get access to the sales-related module and customer portal. But with the enterprise edition users get access to some great features like Subscription, digital products, helpdesk, and so on.

5. Cohort, Dashboard, and Map View

Odoo 14 introduced a series of view features to the Enterprise edition. Cohort, Dashboard, and Map view are available in modules like CRM, Inventory, Sales, and so on. The main advantage this has brought is the ability to have an in-depth insight into the activities happening within the organization to be view more efficiently.

While the Community edition has only a limited view features- like Kanban, list, calendar, and bar graph view.

So for a large-scale business, who has bulk operations to handle, Odoo Enterprise is the choice for them.

6. Inventory Management

With Odoo 14 Enterprise edition, the users get access to features and modules in inventory management like the shipping connectors (UPS, FedEx, USPS, much more) and barcode scanner. But the Community edition does not include these features.

7. Manufacturing Management

Both the Community and Enterprise edition support MRP features like work centers, BOM, and so on. However, the Odoo Enterprise edition goes a step further by supporting features like PLM, Quality, and MPS; which are not available in the Community edition.

8. Accounting Management

The accounting module of the enterprise edition of Odoo 14 supports a wide range of useful and dynamic report section like Balance sheet, Profit and loss, Executive summary, Tax report, Aged Receivables, Aged payable. Yet again, all these great functions are not available in the Community edition.

9. Project Management

For the Project management module in Odoo 14, the Enterprise edition makes available unique features for managing the employees’ timesheet and help plan allocation of company resources across projects and tasks. These features help plan ahead and keep track of every part of the project- making sure everything runs smoothly.

But these features are not seen in the Community edition.

10. Data cleaning

For large or small organizations, data cleaning is essential because doing so improves productivity. All the redundant and incorrect data from the system gets deleted. It ensures the teams do not have to wade through countless outdated documents and allows employees to make the most of their work hours.

With Odoo 14, Data cleaning module is usable in the Odoo 14 Enterprise. The great thing about this feature is that it removes redundant data from the database. But yet again, this is only for the Enterprise version, not for Odoo Community.

Odoo 14 enterprise edition brings up a new module to manage the rental system by which one can rent the products for a certain period. Whereas, the community edition doesn’t have this module.
